Meet Matt Parker

Matthew Parker is a lifelong artist, designer, and fabricator with over 40 years of creative experience spanning music, painting, and sculpture. What began as a passion for songwriting and visual art has evolved into a distinctive form of functional sculpture—handcrafted steel lamps that merge artistic expression with everyday use.

Born in Birmingham Michigan, and raised in Southern California—including Laguna Niguel, San Clemente and Cardiff—Matthew’s work reflects a blend of West Coast influence and Midwestern grit. His artistic journey has always been rooted in the belief that art should be accessible to everyone—not confined to galleries, but lived with, used, and appreciated daily.

Parker Steel Lamps is the culmination of that philosophy. Each piece is individually designed and fabricated by hand in Kalamazoo, Michigan, transforming raw steel into collectible, functional art. No two pieces are exactly alike—every angle, every detail offers a new perspective, making each lamp a dynamic presence in any space.

From blue-collar homes to high-end interiors, Matthew’s mission is simple:
everyone should own a piece of art.

These lamps are built to be more than lighting—they are meant to be experienced, collected, and passed down.
